Advent All Around: Modern shepherds and simple joy

The shepherds couldn't stay long staring at the Baby.  Their sheep needed them.  But as they left the little stable, their lips overflowed with what their eyes had seen and their ears had heard.  They simply couldn't keep quiet about it.  They knew they were only low-class shepherds, but what difference did that make when there was such good news to share?  "Let us tell you what happened," they said to everyone, as they went back to their sheep praising God. . . This Crhistmas I ask for lips that are quick to give praise to God.
