There was a Sunday about 18 months ago when that was the first song in our worship service at church. I had just learned the day before that my adult niece had thyroid cancer; I was angry at God, in tears and unable to sing. I hope that I will be able to say it and sing it when faced with future challenges. Fortunately, I know He understands my frailty.

I really like the way it stands alone as a prayer, leading the congregation in their act of prayer. It could be a prayer of Confession, a response to Assurance, or as a Collect/Congregational prayer. It makes the prayer concrete and specific to individuals, but there's enough stories to relate to everyone. Good stuff!
