Do you hear what I hear? Audio reality and public perception

Altered audio is another reminder that only God can see—and hear—all.

I often ask a class to take a mental picture when I say a common word. Then I say "cat." They see all kinds of cats: grey, yellow, black. Some see lions or tigers. One man even saw heavy equipment, Caterpillar. Then I comment that if we see such variety in a common noun, what must be the difference with abstract words like love, father, faith, etc. it's a wonder we communicate at all.
