Five Other Christmas Movies You Should See

Skip It's a Wonderful Life this year and give one of these unheralded Christmas movies a chance.

Millions is one of my all time favorite movies (and books), and one I watch every Christmas. Such a joyous movie!
I thought the Christian message was much clearer in P.D. James novel Children of Men than in the film adaptation. It''s regularly on my Advent reading.

I love the focus on the goals of Christmas movies- most have nothing to do with Christ at all! I haven't seen any of these movies, but will definitely check them out!

I love Millions and just bought The Joy Noel one about WWI last year. It's excellent. Now I'll have to check the others out. Thanks!!!!

A little late to the party here but if you like 3 Godfathers (and I do), check out Satoshi Kon's anime reimagining Tokyo Godfathers. More Christmas (and dare I say more Christ?) than the original- wasn't even aware of the John Ford film for years after I first saw this one, and it still holds well. I seek it out almost every year.
