I watched this show and feel that I like it very much, Jame and Alyssa are two rebellious kids, end there "life" because their actuation action. I agree the article said, people don't need to believe the Christian and as the human mature, they will know what's the truth and thereupon following the god's lead, like the young boy in the show, after the things they did, James understand the Love meaning, and even be willing to sacrifice himself to save girl's life and future, in that few seconds, James understand that the truth and became a man.

I agree with what you are saying. The development in the main character is similar to christian development. But I would say that he doesn't necessarily need to be a christian to have this development and for it to mean something. Not just christians can be saints.
