G. K. Chesterton knew how hope could sustain, even when the worst – be it fatal mudslides or missing airplanes – dashes any hope we have.
Thank you for this article. My daughter has been in and out of mental hospitals for the last 6 months and was described by one doctor as "helpless and hopeless." It is only the hope as defined by Chesterton that has kept us going.
