An uncommonly artful seawall project reminds us of the ways beauty and function were paired in the Garden of Eden.
Agree in general. For public construction projects, WS State has a "1% for art" law. Some freeway retaining walls with "cast in" designs look good with little additional cost to the project. At least half of the "transportable" art objects I would not take home if offered to me at no cost and I wouldn't display them in front yard if paid only a modest fee . . . everyone has their price. The purchase price is never noted on the identifying sign or nameplate. Wonder why? <G>
