The fourth installment in our Gospel in G series considers our gratitude in response to God's saving grace.

This is a beautiful article and makes me hope for all I know and love to live in the therefore. And for me to be full of grace, mercy and love - thank you

A message I and so many need to hear every morning when waking. I thank God for grace. Like Damen, I choke up talking about it. Grace is priceless.

What a beautiful summary of the gospels impact on our lives. I'm saved over 30 years. I'm not one bit more saved then I was the first day. But I have a joy that I wouldn't have known, if I had done it my way instead of following Christ. I was an avid atheist the day I got saved, cried for eight years every time I shared how gracious God was toward me. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. How I try to tell people, it's not just about getting saved, it's about finding LIFE! Real eternal life begins before the funeral. Lol. God bless and thanks for the beautiful story, Andrea

Without at all recommending we wallow in our years of dark pursuits, of wandering in waterless regions, I have this thought occurring: We so many of us may have lapsed into lukewarmness and glibness because we're out of touch with the painfully desperate state of our fallenness--unlike Damen--and so our tears of gratitude for Jesus and his unspeakable, seemingly too-good Gospel of grace are few. It reminds me of Jesus' words to Simon the Pharisee about another profuse weeper: "Therefore [ah yes, 'therefore'] I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven--for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little." (Lk. 7:47) Lord, don't let me lose my wonder!
