Great idea! Thanks for sharing. I signed up for all of them. :)
I love the idea. I love when Christians embrace technology for the kingdom. I'm having a hard time convincing some of my brethren to start twittering, it is such a magnificent way of sending out a quick prayer request, need, text scripture, a list of events and many others.
I like this. I remain the pre-converted Twitter skeptic. But just last week, in the interest of this same thing I think you're after here (building those rhythms into the daily life), I programmed reminders into my Blackberry to call me to prayer throughout the day, starting midmorning with the Shema (Deut. 6). I may have to look into Chrysostom's hourly prayers and expand it somewhat. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you for doing this! My church is doing an intiative to get us to pray continually, and I've been reluctant to start because I'm so busy (sad excuse). This will help SO MUCH!
Okay, I'm older than even I think. My wife asked me about twitters or twittering and I of course knew nothing about it. Now here it is and I still don't know what to do. I do however have a stubby pencil and paper, which I write on to get my thoughts in order. I pray or in some cases talk to God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit most of the time I'm awake. Is this going to help me in my prayer or regulate when I pray? I don't know if it matters, just so that you pray with respect and kindness and ask our Father for the things that we need and for the needs of others. I'll pray for all of you, in God's Grace John
This is awesome - thank you so much for sharing!!!
Nathan, that's very cool. I'm currently working on an RSS feed for the BCP lectionary in any version available on Bible Gateway. It still has a few kinks but shares a similar goal of bringing spirituality into the mix of our daily information flow.
Man, this is really cool. And what's more - it honors God! If you need any technical help, reach out to me.
Cool article! My hope is that more content online will help call peoples attention to God. With so much of our time spent online watching what other people are doing, it's awesome to come across content that glorifies God and blesses each other!
Thank you so much! This is so helpful.
I've just joined Twitter:
http://twitter.com/liturgy
through the urging of many.
I run a website (& hopefully a life!) with a strong focus on prayer
including the Liturgy of the Hours you mention.
& have been wondering how this connects with the initially-seemingly-opposit Twitter.
This is a helpful step forward.

Blessings

Bosco+
http://www.liturgy.co.nz
