A Jewish novelist pinpoints how Anderson's films function as comedies of restoration.
The sermon on Sunday had me thinking back to the intro in this book, which struck me at the time as seriously in harmony with Wolters. I sent it to Rog as soon as I found it.
It's beautifully written, really captures what I love about Anderson's work, and I love Chabon's definition of art in the essay. I was just trying to find a version of it online, and up popped this piece here. Fun!
Now, clearly, I need to read some more Chabon.
How about that! Yeah, that was a very TC sermon - in fact, the whole series appears to be. (Nicely done on the accompanying artwork, by the way.)
