What Ray Bradbury understood about innocence and loss

I've long thought that Ray Bradbury was an author too much overlooked in general, even more so by Christians. I've not read Dandelion Wine. I will put it on my list. Thanks for a fitting post on the occasion of his death.

Marilynne Robinson's nostalgic "Gilead" is luminous, grace-filled, and poetic. She's up there with Bradbury.

As far as female equivalents, I think the adult voice of Scout Finch as narrator in "To Kill a Mockingbird" has a nostalgic tone but those sorts of stories do seem to dominated by male characters.

Guilt is unnecessary baggage while regret is a permanent tattoo, a reminder that what can be forgiven and even forgotten cannot be undone. Regret acts as an impetus for repentance and a reminder of the need to submit to God's transformation.
